PIERRE NANTEL AND SADIA GROGUHÉ PARTICIPATE IN MENTAL HEALTH WEEK
Many activities to support and raise awareness planned from May 7-13
LONGUEUIL — New Democrat MPs Pierre Nantel (Longueuil—Pierre-Boucher) and Sadia Groguhé (Saint-Lambert) would like to express their support to the organizers of Mental Health Week, which will be held from May 7 to 13 across the country.
“We take this opportunity to acknowledge the community organizations that work with people struggling with mental health issues. We think especially of the Centre de répit-dépannage aux quatre poches, Second Lieu and the association “Et si c’était moi”. We met with these organizations over the past year, and were very touched by the openness and devotion of the workers and volunteers. Their management is exemplary, allowing beneficiaries to flourish in their communities,” said the MPs.
Organized by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Mental Health Week seeks to encourage people to engage in issues related to mental health. Founded in 1918, the CMHA is one of Canada’s oldest national volunteer organizations. This year, the theme of the campaign is “Mental Health for All.”
